Rat Zapper
pest_ratzapper.jpg
Rodent electronic devices deliver a lethal dose of electricity to rodents. Detects rodents and instantly releases stored electrical energy to kill the rat. Set of 4 AA batteries will kill 10-20 rodents. No harmful poisons! See the Rat Zapper spark in action!

I had tried everything - old fashion spring hinge trap, glue strips - nothing could catch a mouse we had seen in the kitchen running between the dishwasher and refrigerator for almost a year. Had the Zapper out for 2 weeks with no luck - finally, we got that little SOB ! Will keep the Zapper in use in case he had "friends" !

Just wanted to let you know. I bought a rat zapper. I had a mouse for 6 months that I could not get rid of. I had a pest control service and they could not get him either. The rat zapper caught the little sucker in 48 hours. No mess, no smell, no poison. My pest control service now wants to find out more about the rat zapper. Thank you very much. No more cleaning up rat droppings and him chewing on my stuff.

Try cotton with a drop or two of vanilla extract for mice.

Rat Pack

It's great for rural homeowners, ranches, commercial facilities and Pest Control Operators. The 4 D-cell batteries provide plenty of power for zapping large rats and ground squirrels (as well as mice and voles). Also, the extra weight of the D-cell batteries helps to keep the Rat Zapper firmly planted and prevents larger rodents from tipping the Rat Zapper.
Note: Batteries are not included with the Rat Pack (alkaline strongly recommended)

Rat Tale

Sure the Rat Zapper is great, but there is more to tell. The optional Rat Tale makes the world's best mouse (and rat) trap even better. The Rat Tale lets you know when you need to empty the Rat Zapper with a blinking red light. The 12 foot cord makes it easy to check the Rat Zapper in the attic, false ceilings, under stairwells, and other difficult to reach places.
Also, using the Rat Tale can reduce the amount of time that you must spend in enclosed spaces such as attics. The less you have to go into enclosed spaces to check rodent traps, the better.
So, when you go to order your Rat Zapper, make sure you get the whole story. They go great with the RZ2000!

Rat Zapper Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is it OK to use the Rat Zapper outside?
A: The Rat Zapper works fine outdoors. We do recommend covering the Rat Zapper with a plastic bag or tarp if it is exposed to moisture, but otherwise you should be able to zap those nasty rodents in your fruit trees, on your patio, by your dog dish, on your fence, in the sub area below your house, in your barn, and all those other outdoor areas where our customers have mentioned problems.

Q: Will the Rat Zapper work on large rats?
A: Yes. The Rat Zapper is designed to work on the largest Norway rats as well as the smallest mice.

Q: Does the Rat Zapper work for both rats and mice?
A: Yes. It works with the smallest mouse and the largest rat. If you are using the Rat Zapper for both rats and mice, we do offer a suggestion. Mice may be deterred by the smell of a rat. If you have zapped a rat and the mice are not going in, you may want to clean the Chamber with hot water and a mild soap solution.

Q: Is the Rat Zapper safe around pets and children?
A: Although you must use caution around any device, which generates a high voltage, the Rat Zapper is a safe alternative compared to standard rat traps, glue boards, and poison. The Rat Zapper is difficult for a child or a pet to trigger it. If a child or pet was able to trigger the Rat Zapper, the voltage will cause their muscles to contract, forcing them to pull their arm or paw away from the Rat Zapper. Finally, the amount of energy produced by the Rat Zapper is intentionally limited by use of batteries and circuit design. By limiting the energy produced, we have virtually eliminated the possibility of an injury occurring from the Rat Zapper.

Q: How many Rat Zappers do I need?
A: For residential users, we recommend 1 Rat Zapper for every 1000 square feet of living space. For commercial users (or very large homes) with more than 50,000 sq. ft., we recommend a strategic approach. Get enough Rat Zappers to cover a \"section\" between 10,000 and 50,000 sq. ft. in size. Spread those Rat Zappers out over the whole complex and monitor the activity. Then, move inactive Rat Zappers to the \"hot spots\" as necessary.

Q: Does the Rat Zapper work on squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, moles, gophers, groundhogs, possums, raccoons, birds, cats?
A: No, the Rat Zapper is strictly designed to work on rats and mice. However, we have had customers who have used the Rat Zapper to help control ground squirrel populations successfully.

Q: How long do the batteries last?
A: Four alkaline AA batteries will typically last for three months or 10-20 rodent kills.

Q: Can the Rat Zapper zap more than one rodent at a time?
A: Every time you zap one rodent, you must dispose of it, then reset the trap by turning it OFF and then back ON.

Instructions

  1. Place bait in trap and let slide to the back.
  2. Turn the main switch to ON. Note: The red light will blink and then go off.
  3. Place the trap against a wall where rats run.
  4. The Red light will blink when a rat is in the trap.
  5. Dispose of rat by turning trap upside down.
